Dr. Weinberg is a licensed clinical/developmental psychologist in private practice who has been working with children, adolescents and young adults since 1992. She specializes in psychological and neurodevelopment diagnostic evaluations/testing. For those individuals qualifying for special services, Dr. Weinberg assists families with educational placement as well as obtaining appropriate accommodations/modifications (IEP, 504 Plan) within the public school setting as well as the private school sector. Dr. Weinberg also treats individuals with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Behavior Disorders, Learning Disabilities, Anxiety, Depression, and issues related to divorce. Parenting services are also provided. For children with special needs, Dr. Weinberg serves as a liaison between the school and family. She believes that consulting with all professionals in the child’s environment will ensure a more positive outcome.
 
Dr. Weinberg earned her Ph.D. from Nova University School of Psychology. She did her Pre-Doctoral Internship at Broward General Medical Center where she evaluated high-risk infants for developmental disorders in the Regional Peri-Natal Intensive Care Center. Dr. Weinberg completed her Post-Doctoral residency at the University of Miami School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry, where she serviced pediatric organ transplant patients in the Department of Surgery-Organ Transplantation. After completing her Residency, Dr. Weinberg was employed as Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Miami where she continued her work with organ transplant patients in the Department of Surgery (1990-1991). Her responsibilities included psychological evaluations of potential organ transplant recipients, psychological services to pediatric in-patients at Jackson Memorial Hospital, and psychological services to pediatric post-transplant patients.
 
Dr. Weinberg also earned a Master’s Degree from Northwestern University in the diagnosis and remediation of Learning Disabilities and Communicative Disorders. She was a consultant to Central Agency for Jewish Education (Miami, FL) from 1979-1987 and performed psycho-educational evaluations for students in the Hebrew Day Schools.
 
Dr. Weinberg has appeared on local television networks presenting programs on learning disabilities and helping children cope with divorce. She has presented numerous invited lectures on learning disabilities, issues related to organ transplantation, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, discipline and child development. Dr. Weinberg co-authored a chapter in J. Strauss (Ed.), Pediatric nephrology: Renal disease dynamics.
 
Dr. Weinberg is a member of the Florida Psychological Association and American Psychological Association.
